Deftones have released the title track off their new studio album Ohms. This is the first full-length for the ‘metal-ish’ band since 2016’s Gore. The first single was released today after a week-long flurry of teasers. The new song is tell-tale Deftones yet it feels slightly prog and features tightly syncopated phrasing. The tune ‘noodles’ more than the band has done in years. The record has reunited the Sacramento band with noted producer Terry Date who was recruited to work on their first four albums as well as 2000’s classic White Pony.
Deftones also have a reissue of White Pony in the works to mark its 20th anniversary which will also include a DJ Shadow remix titled Black Stallion.
