Gorillaz Launch New Apple Music Radio Show, ‘Song Machine Radio,’ Today

Each member of the band will host their own distinct episode.

Gorillaz’ new Apple Music radio show, Song Machine Radio, launches today and will celebrate 20 years of the bands otherwise cryptic history. The radio series will be hosted virtually by all of the band’s members – 2D, Murdoc, Noodle, and Russel. Each member will be hosting their own one-hour episode.

Gorillaz co-creators Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett will be featured in segments diving in to the bands history.

The title of the radio show is shared by the upcoming full-length record from the band: Song Machine: Season One. The album will feature collaboration with such notable artists as Elton John, Beck, St. Vincent, JPEGMAFIA, and Unknown Mortal Orchestra.

Song Machine: Season One, the album, is slated for release October 23rd. The maiden voyage of Song Machine Radio begins, today, October 19.
